Voices of the Petitcodiac

Rivert Art

Artists from our region and from around the world have been inspired by the Petitcodiac River and by the struggle to save it. In this section we present photographs of various artistic conceptions of the river.

The Petitcodiac River in 50 years... (2003)

As part of the activities organized for the Canadian Rivers Day, a drawing contest entitled "The Petitcodiac River in 50 years..." was launched by the Riverkeeper in regional elementary schools. The thirthy winning drawings including six who were chosen to appear on the poster were exhibited at the Moncton Public Library during the month of June, 2003. A Portrait of the Petitcodiac (Earth Day 2000)

A group of artists inspired by the Petitcodiac River and its tidal bore created a spirited work of art on Earth Day 2000 (April 22, 2000). The mural now has a permanent home in the Petitcodiac Riverkeeper office, Moncton.
