American Eel (Anguilla rostrata)

 Habitat -Lives in freshwater (streams, rivers and muddy or silt-bottomed lakes
-Migrates to the sea to spawn
 Reproduction -Unlike other fishes, it breeds at sea and the young move into
freshwater to feed and grow
-Spawns from February to July
-Larvae reaches coast about 1 years after it is hatched
 Growth -Transforms to adult form when about 60-65 mm long
-Females range between 76.2-101.6 cm and few males grow longer than 61 cm
-May live up to 18 years
