Watercourse Protection

The Petitcodiac Riverkeeper is actively working to protect the watercourses and wetlands of the 3,000 km2 Petitcodiac River / Shepody Bay watershed. The Petitcodiac Riverkeeper is also currently working on two projects to rehabilitate and clean up severely impacted streams of our watershed: the Halls Creek rehabilitation project and a watershed clean up project.

This section is currently under construction.

River Watch

The Petitcodiac Riverkeeper keeps an eye on the state of the river thanks to a monitoring program. The emphasis is placed on monitoring water quality, animal life, fish, vegetation and nutrients. If you want to get involved, join the River Watch Committee of the Petitcodiac Riverkeeper.

Please contact us if you see suspicious activities along the river such as acts of pollution. Contact us at 388-KEEP (5337).
